I will be leaving out most of the less important personal details, but this occurred in Texas in case their are any state specific laws to worry about. I recently leased a vehicle from a certified car dealership. I was quoted a price for the lease and signed all the paperwork with that price on it. I received a copy of the paperwork and still have it. Fast forward one month later and I get a call from the national hotline of said car manufacturer saying that my first payment is due. I go to pay and the monthly price is $30 more than I was quoted and what the paperwork that I had showed. I figured it was an innocent mistake so I attempt to speak with the dealership that sold me the lease to get it figured out, but they dodged my calls for weeks. So, figuring that they wouldn't respond I moved on to calling the national level customer service. I get on the line with the representative and they pull up my information. The representative says that she found paperwork quoting me the additional $30 per month that was submitted right before my first payment.
I'm having trouble getting a proper license plate for my car for over 2 years and it's infuriating. I'm really hoping to get some help on this so I don't have to keep getting temporary license plates. I'd also like to add this is my first car and I don't want to get rid of it. About 2 years ago I got a car from a family mechanic. I was going to be moving out of town soon, so I would've taken anything at that point. I ended up really liking the car. It's a 2008 Dodge Caliber for those of you who are wondering. For the first month I was using a temporary license plate as the mechanic had bought it from someone else and they were getting the papers from the original owner. When the temp license plate expired I asked the mechanic if he finally had the proper license plate. He said no and that he will get another temporary license plate for me to use. I didn't think much of it since I thought it was common for stuff like that to happen. Until I realized it's been over 2 YEARS! I confronted him about it some time last year and here is his explanation.
First up, they would play in Edmonton, at Remax Field, currently unoccupied, if you can believe that. Once upon a time, this stadium hosted AAA baseball. It seats 9200 and is beautifully located in the downtown. The Jays would then head North to play in Fort McMurray. Hopefully by now it's at least May, so they don't freeze their asses off. Fort McMurray, the oil capital of Canada, is home to the Giants, a summer collegiate team. The team plays at Legacy Dodge Field (must be owned by a lifted truck dealership) and can seat 2300. Moving south of the Provincial Capital, the team would need to make a stop in Calgary at Foothills Stadium, another unoccupied stadium that once hosted AAA baseball. Odd that Alberta couldn't keep minor league baseball around. This stadium is rather run down, but would do just fine for the Jays, and can seat 6000. Moving further south, the team would only go about 30 miles south of Calgary, and make a stop in Okotoks. Now, out of all the Cities on this list, probably not a lot of people have heard of Okotoks.
(I drive to work and find adapter that fits metric to 500x28) I call back. FC: Hey rifle is good to go. Pick it up anytime you want today. I got shit to fix. Matt: thanks man! UPS rolls in with a delivery. 19 Sig 365's, 4 Glock 48's, 2 Sig Legion 226's in SAO and 1 43X and a stack of green Glocks. Woo! Just in time for the gun show this weekend! I get a call from one of my docs. He wants an FNX 45 in full FDE. I've got one left on the shelf and pull it for him. He'll swing by after he's done with rounds. I know what he likes so I grab a Tirant 45, a Ghost 45 and an Osprey 45 with an FDE RMR off the shelf and park it all right next to it. The emails start coming in, dumber than ever. Subject: Dr Walters Message: Hey Will, Ted Rogers here - your name was given to me by the public defender's office and they said you're the guy to call. FC: What's shaking? Ted: Doc owes me $25, 000 in legal fees. He's offering me some guns in trade. Can you tell me what this is worth? The description is as follows: Doc has a Sarah Palin AR15 set up, it is all white and comes with a Governor of Alaska presentation, case and bullets, etc.. (this is a really unique piece) What do you think?
Good day all, my name is Chris and I'm an insurance appraiser in the state of Texas. I was looking to purchase a 2014 Dodge Charger Police used at a dealership. Obviously with this being a police vehicle I wanted to get an idea of it's history, after all, it was listed at a fantastic price. Since I had found the vehicle on AutoTrader, I figured I'd give their vehicle history check a try. I was directed to, an arm of big credit bureau Experian, "I'm in good hands. " Atleast I thought. The history report given by the website listed as far back as 2017, showed no accidents, and other than the latest sale record in 2017, had no service history at all. I decided to be cautious and ran a CarFax report, possibly the most trusted name in the business, atleast the most recognizable one. Although it ran me twice the price of the former website, CarFax reported all the way back to the car's manufacture date in Canada 2014. Including the accident that wiped out the entire right side! Tl;DR: Autocheck nearly led me to buy a car by hiding a major accident that CarFax showed.
Any ideas on what my legal grounds are? What if the car I have a VIN number for is a different color or doesn't have the same mileage that was on the paperwork? Note: The same post can be found above but it was recommended I post here.
